1. Who these terms are between

They apply between you, the visitor, and Fern Reel Guide, the publisher of fernreelguide.com. "The site" means every page at that address, including the three games. Continuing to use the site is how you accept them.

2. You must be 18 or over

The site is intended for adults. By using it you confirm you are at least 18 years old. We do not verify ages — there is no account system to verify anything with — so this condition rests on you, and on whoever manages the device if it is shared. If you are under 18, please do not use the site.

3. What the site is

Free entertainment software: casino-style games played with virtual coins. It is not a gambling service, not a gambling affiliate and not licensed by any gambling regulator, because a free game with no stake and no prize is not gambling. Nothing on the site is an inducement to gamble, and no page links to a real-money gambling operator.

4. Virtual coins

• Coins are a score kept by the software. They are not money, credit, tokens of value, securities or property, and you do not own them in any legal sense.
• They cannot be purchased, sold, traded, gifted, transferred, redeemed, cashed out or converted into anything else, by you or by us.
• They are granted free: 10,000 on a first visit, a 2,500 top-up on your first visit each day, and an unlimited reset to 10,000 from any game screen.
• Balances live in your browser. Clearing your browser data deletes them, and there is no backup for us to restore, because nothing is stored on our side.
• We may change the starting amount, the top-up or the payout tables at any time. Doing so takes nothing of value from you.

5. No prizes and no real-money play

No outcome in any game entitles you to money, goods, entries, discounts or rewards of any kind. There are no deposits, no withdrawals, no wagering of real money, no sweepstakes and no promotions. Any coin figure shown on screen is part of the game and nothing else.

6. Fair use of the site

Play as much as you like, on as many devices as you like. Please do not attempt to interfere with the site's operation, disrupt hosting, probe for vulnerabilities, or run automated traffic against it beyond ordinary browsing and standard search-engine crawling. Modifying the game code in your own browser only fools your own copy: the coin figure is a number in your local storage, altering it achieves nothing and gains you nothing.

7. Content and copyright

The text, illustrations, game artwork, symbol designs, the fern-spiral mark and the code of this site are original work and remain our property. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote a short passage with attribution. Copying pages wholesale, republishing the artwork or reusing the game code in another product is not permitted without written consent. No third-party casino brand, slot title or logo appears here, and none is implied.

8. Availability, and no warranty

The site is provided as it stands and free of charge. We aim to keep it working on current browsers, but we do not promise it will always be available, faultless or compatible with every device, and it may be changed or withdrawn without notice. Games depend on JavaScript and on your browser's own random number generator; where a browser lacks a feature, behaviour may differ.

9. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost coin balances, lost records or time spent playing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Play that stops being fun

These games copy the rhythm of gambling without the money, and for some people that rhythm is a problem in itself. If playing here starts feeling compulsive, stop and read the responsible play page, which lists free and confidential New Zealand support. We provide no facility to exclude yourself, because there is no account to exclude — closing the tab is the mechanism, and your device's own blocking tools are there if you want something firmer.

11. Changes to these terms

Updates are published on this page with a new date at the top. Using the site after a change means accepting the current version; there is no notification list, so the date is how you check.

12. Law and contact
